YOUR FIRST TIME HERE
If you're planning to visit, we realize that stepping into a new environment can be intimidating and rather uncomfortable. With that in mind, allow us to paint a picture of what you may experience when you visit Live Wire by answering some frequently asked questions. We hope that this will eliminate much of the awkwardness of a first time visitor.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
At Live Wire there is no dress code and frankly, we're a pretty casual church.
HOW DO I GET THERE?
If you decide to visit, you may need to get directions to Faith Harvest Assembly (click
here), which is where we are currently meeting. Faith Harvest is located at 6310 Buttontown Road in Greenville, Indiana is only 15-20 minutes from Louisville, Kentucky.
WHAT WILL THE SERVICE BE LIKE?
Our services begin about 5:00pm. If you arrive early, you may see and hear people praying as the worship center is open every Sunday night from 4:00pm to 5:00pm for corporate prayer. Though we allow the Holy Spirit to dictate the agenda and flow of our service, you can expect the following elements to be part of most of our gatherings:
-
MUSIC & SINGING - We love to sing to the Lord, and Live Wire is a place of freedom where people are given the liberty to express themselves in worship. You may see people dancing, raising their hands, or on their knees during worship. Worship is personal, and expressions may differ, and we believe that the focus not should not necessarily be on how we worship but Who we worship.
-
MESSAGE - At some point in the service, someone (typically Pastor Chad) will share a message from the Bible. He has a deep desire to teach the Bible in such a way that anyone can understand the precious and powerful truths of God's Word, regardless of their age or background. You may want to come prepared to take notes.
-
OFFERING - At Live Wire we love to give to the Lord and see it as yet another expression of worship to our King. So, at some point in the evening, we will take up tithes & offerings.
-
MINISTRY - We usually have a time, near the end of our service, where those who wish to receive prayer are invited to come up to the front and receive ministry.
We hope this has given you an idea of what to expect, but there is definitely an element to our services at Live Wire which is nearly impossible to put into words. It's just something you need to experience for yourself, so please come and join us Sunday at 5:00pm. In the mean time, if you have further questions, please email us at livewirechurch@gmail.com and we'll try to answer them.
